Jam & Beer Pairing

A crisp beer such as a cream ale or a wheat ale might have background notes of pears or summer berries. In this case, a pear or berry jam would enhance those flavors. From here, you would choose a cheese or food accompaniment appropriate to the setting.

Jam & Wine Pairing

The goal in pairing your wine and Jam is to connect the subtle undertones of the wine with that of your jam and then match the cheese that brings it all together. If your wine has a subtle blackberry flavor then it would be best paired with a jam from the berry category.

Jam & Cheese Pairing

Keep in mind the importance of serving your cheese with it’s accompaniment rather than mixed together. Jam should not be poured over the top of your cheese. You and your guests should be able to enjoy the flavor of the cheese itself, as well as the jam.
